Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Maybe it's the beauty in the brief moments that we are able to see them hover, their tiny wings vigorously moving 50 times per second, the delicate creatures deciding whether to take a closer look at a flower or spend a few seconds at the feeders we place out for them. Then, as soon as they appear, they are gone, excelling over 30 mph to zip back to the safety of a tree or to avoid the confrontation of another rival coming in for a drink. Many times, it's only by way of our hearing do we know that they are near--we hear their wings, beating so quickly that they produce the sound in which we identify them, and we eagerly look around, hoping to spot our extraordinary friends--hoping for that glimpse that gives us such pleasure.
